As the oldest of four siblings, caring for youngsters is engrained in my nature. I'm a nurturer to the core! My husband and I moved to San Francisco from Texas almost two years ago, and I immediately began a fast-paced career in tech PR. Although the career was fascinating, I realized how much I've missed nurturing and teaching, and am looking to get back to my true vocation, teaching and working with kids. In the past, I've worked with children with special needs, and have assisted and volunteered as an art therapy teacher. I've also taught my own summer camp art classes and worked as a volunteer tutor at a juvenile detention center. I've worked with a variety of age groups, from as young as 2 years old to young high schoolers. Additionally, I worked as a Lifeguard in the past and was certified in CPR and first aid - Read more I'm happy to discuss renewing these certifications upon request. I graduated from Pepperdine University with academic honors in 2010, and available to also help with tutoring, if needed! I'm very responsible, yet also love to have fun and do creative projects and cool outdoor activities with kids. I'm not the "turn on the TV to keep the kids busy" type of babysitter. Please let me know if you have ANY additional questions I haven't answered in this short bio - I'm more than happy to hop on the phone and chat as I know how daunting it can be to leave your most valuable possessions in the entire world (your kids) with a stranger!
