I am a full-time QA Engineer but I have time to help out. I have previously worked as a sitter for various families in the Scripps Ranch and Mira Mesa areas. I did work with a family that had two children with special needs. I was also a Sunday school teacher for 9th and 10th graders for four years at MCAS Miramar (Holy Family Catholic Community). My primary language is English but I do know a little bit of Spanish and French so I am happy to help out with Spanish or French homework. In the past I have also done tutoring (Algebra, English). I'm currently taking classes for technical writing so looking over writing assignments would allow me to put what I've learned to work. : ) I do have pets of my own so I am fine with cats and dogs. Generally, I like to wait until pets Read more have become accustomed to my presence before I interact with them...unless they're immediately friendly and don't mind being pet by a new-comer. I'm completely open to helping out around the house. I don't mind washing or putting dishes away. Helping out with the laundry is no hardship. My cooking skills are a work in progress but I can do some basics like macaroni and cheese. I just got an air fryer so my cooking skills are evolving. : ) Although I'm at a more advanced age (early 50s), I like to think that I'm still a kid at heart. I could spend hours playing Barbies, Chutes and Ladders, or just coloring and drawing. I used to do a lot of arts and crafts with my Sunday school students (decorating pumpkins and chocolates, creating Easter baskets, and Valentine's Day goodie bags) so I wouldn't mind hauling out my craft box. Having worked in a corporate environment as a QA Engineer for more than twenty years, I'm very detail and process-oriented. I like to conduct myself in a professional manner (though I do believe in wearing comfortable clothing). This means that I believe in being punctual and completing any tasks that are assigned to me within specifications. I'm a bit old-fashioned in that I don't have a Twitter or Facebook account so you can be sure that your kids, your house, or any other aspect of your life that I come into contact with will not be posted on the internet. I'm a non-smoker with a good driving record. I have received both doses of the Moderna vaccination as well as the first booster shot.
