My name is Isabelle Bold and I graduated from California Polytechnic State University - San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Child Development this past June. In my classes I learned about the developmental stages children go through and how they affect both behavior and thought processes. This knowledge influences my teaching style and approach to situations in and out of the classroom. Additionally, I learned techniques for teaching in a positive and productive way which proved very useful in my experiences with children. This past year I worked as an aide for the school district of San Luis Obispo. I worked in multiple classrooms with children from the ages of 5 - 12 which taught me to adapt my approach to each child's individual needs. I also developed my own style of teaching and leadership skills. Additionally, I was a gymnastics coach for Rancho Read more Family YMCA two years in high school. I taught children from the ages of 3-12, planned and led summer camp activities, and ran our program's "parent's night out" in which I babysat 10-15 kids on Saturday nights. My experience at the YMCA showed me that I truly enjoy working with kids. I love getting to know each child so I can support their growth and development to the best of my ability.
