Seeking Nannywork &/or Babysitting. I believe in learning through play. I organized first Art Program for Homeschoolers in Northwestern Oklahoma, was Head Potter at Leonardo's Children's Museum, & have taught Music & Art for over 20 years, & Astronomy & Etiquette. Due to Allergies (mammalian), a Vegetarian, Peskitarian, or Vegan Family would be ideal. I am a Christian & accepting of other cultures & religions. Religion in general, was one of my minors in college. I received the best of 2015 & 2016 Piano Instructor award, & received featured Business Spotlight, La Mesa, California, through Thumbtack. I have Passport & PassCard. Will consider travel. Parents are responsible for transport, travel, travel insurance (when necessary), costs, activity expenses, & child-related activity costs or other child related expenses. Piano &/or Art Lessons, are roughly $40-$60, all supplies included. Sickness Policy: Typically. I will not care for sick children. However, It depends on Read more what they have. As someone who has kids at home & works with other families, I don't want to risk getting them sick. If it's contagious, I leave it to the parents to be parents & I stay home to avoid spreading it from one household to the other. Just like if my kids at home were sick, I wouldn't take their germs to work with me. If it isn't contagious, then I stick to whatever needs to be done: medicine, cuddling & fluids. My favorite sports are: Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Dance (Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Ballroom), Fishing, Hula-hooping, Jump Rope, kickball, Roller Skating, Swimming, Tennis, Twirling, Yoga. When necessary, I can pick or disable most bedroom or bathroom locks. I’ve also completed basic self-defense, gun safety, conceal & carry classes within State of Oklahoma. Violet was excellent with my son. She helped me out when I was traveling for work in San Diego. This meant that she had to meet my son very quickly and figure out what would make him happy. She did all of that during my work trip, to the point where when he woke up the next day, he was asking for her and her toys. Overall, she was great, she communicated, shared her location, and talked about what my and my son’s needs were, and planned for any potential back ups. She also came with her own toys and supplies. She was clearly very experienced with kids at many ages and again, very quickly integrated with our family and made my whole trip possible.

I employed Violet as a Travel Nanny for a recent weekend trip to Oklahoma. She was reliable, maintained consistent schedule, made all travel arrangements, & planned all activities for my son. Our first night was spent at Keystone Lake. Safety her priority. She taught my son how to fish, identify native rocks, insects, plants, & recognize a few constellations. When my son was stung by a bee, Violet acted with speed & knew exactly what to do until additional medical help could arrive. The next day, we spent at the Mayo Hotel in Downtown Tulsa. Violet knew where all the coolest hidden gems of the City were. After a day at Gilcrease Museum, she took my son Roller Skating. He was worn out & happy ???. Overall, we had a memorable vacation & positive experience. I highly recommend Violet for all your childcare needs. Schedule your appointment today!

Violet was kind and adaptable. My daughter, is quite picky about sitters, and wasn't in a great mood when Violet arrived to babysit while I visited San Diego this Christmas break. Violet was however patient, and ended up having good fun with her: drawing, doing mazes, playing games. Violet was on time, and came prepared with appropriate art materials and games. She is also a pretty awesome pianist, but unfortunately my 5 year old daughter doesn't yet have appreciation for piano performances. So when it was clear playing piano for my daughter wasn't engaging, she switched gears to connect with her by other means. They did manage to have some fun with the piano later in the night though. Thank you Violet for the great help!

We had Violet watch our 5 year old and 6 month old baby and she was fabulous! She taught my daughter al little bit on how to play music on her Keyboard which she loved! She also did crafts with her and that is one of her favorite things to do! She was great with my baby too. Got him down easily. My daughter can't stop talking about her and can't wait to have her watch her again!

Violet is a wonderful babysitter! We hired her to watch our 4 year-old son for the evening, and he had a great time with her. She is incredibly sweet, kind, and patient. We could tell right away that she's a gentle spirit. Another bonus... Violet is a music teacher! She was able to start teaching our son a few things on the keyboard while she watched him. How cool! Finally, Violet has loads of experience caring for kids as well as for her own children who are now older. We felt great about leaving our son in her care - knowing that she'd be kind and responsible. We highly recommend Violet as a babysitter!
