I had a lot of experience with kids and enjoy taking care of loved ones. I've helped my sister, a single mom, raise her son since birth who is now 21. I would watch him on my days off and drive him to and from school daily. I had the pleasure of taking him to track, basketball, baseball, soccer practice and assist with homework. I’ve also done the same for my younger bother who is now 22. I continue to stay active in his life because he has a developmental disability and needs guidance. I normally attend his school meetings, events, doctors appointments and meetings with his social worker. Because of him, I have learned to understand the needs of others and have mastered patience. For the past 6 years, I have also mentored a 56 year old woman and 41 year old man who both have a developmental disabilities.
