Hello! My name is Jade. I am a currently a 5th grade teacher. I graduated in 2016 with a BA Elementary Education. I have a passion for children learning. I have worked with children of all ages. I love taking care of children because I love watching them grow and helping to guide them in the right direction. I began babysitting when I was just 13 and have continued even now that I am 30. I would love to care for your child(ren) and continue to bring them the joy that they bring you. Looking forward to meeting you. My availability is: Mon, Tues, Wed, Friday: 5:30pm- whenever Saturday and Sunday: anytime I travel and also do overnights. My rate is $25 per/hr child and $1 more for each extra child. We hired Jade for 2 date nights. She did great the first time, was prompt and the kids loved her. We scheduled with her for a second time from 7PM-11PM. The morning of the date night we texted to confirm. She did not respond until 3 hours before she was due to arrive at our home. She sent a text about leaving work late and not feeling great and having allergies. It was vague and hard to understand. We asked for clarification if that meant she wasn’t coming. She never responded and of course didn’t show either. Because of her timing, it was too late to find a replacement sitter and we ultimately had to cancel our plans. With better communication we could have rescheduled but she ultimately let us down. It is hard to get date nights as parents so it is important that our sitter is reliable and communicative. We will likely go with a different sitter in the future due to the communication and effort made on her behalf. We certainly felt “ghosted”.
