Hello! I’ve worked with children ever since I was a sophomore in high school and have experience babysitting kids of all ages. I usually help out with homework, play with them (i.e. arts and crafts, go on walks to the park/playground…), and help them eat or go to bed. I used to be a swim instructor/lifeguard at the YMCA of Palo Alto and was responsible for the safety and well-being of our members. I had an amazing experience teaching toddlers as well as preschoolers how to swim. I also had the opportunity to teach English as a second language to inner-city kids in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil one summer. Lastly, I was an intern at the California Academy of Sciences in SF where I interacted with visitors (mostly young kids) and taught them about the exhibits and science. I also speak four languages: English, Portuguese, French, and Spanish. Red Cross Read more Certified. I’m back home for the summer so I am pretty available during the week and weekends!
