I come from a large family with many younger cousins, as well as a younger sibling who I have become responsible for watching during summers and weekends. I woke them up, dressed them, bathed them, fed them, and took them to any activities they were involved in. I also picked them up and occasionally did the household shopping like groceries or other necessities the children needed. At the end of the day, I made sure they were fed and cleaned up and put them to bed. I have also babysat for coworkers of my parents and family friends. The ages of children I cared for range from infants to teenagers, and I have enjoyed every moment of it. I started babysitting mostly as a favor, but as time went on I loved it more and more. I am a student going to school for social work and a member of Read more the military. I have worked in a group home for developmentally disabled adults and also as a behavior therapist for children and young adults with autism and related disorders. Working with this population has allowed to me see it all and better prepare myself for all situations imaginable. Caring for them as they grow and learn is an amazing experience and I look forward to it each and every time.
