Hello! I am Darcy, I am a child care professional. I always knew I wanted to work with children. My family supported this dream and I started babysitting since age 11, when I completed Marshall Hospital Babysitters Class & first became CPR certified. At age 19 I began Nannying for families in the Sacramento area. I have full knowledge on cloth diapering as well as how to successfully potty train all ages of children. My daughter was using the potty regularly at 18 months of age. I also have references from families in Los Angeles area from my 20’ & 30’s. I returned to El Dorado County and began Nannying with families with multiple children helping them raise newborns into toddlers and into elementary school age. I took a break from being a Nanny with the same family for four years, to get married and became pregnant with a child Read more of my own. I have been working part time at a day care in Folsom CA for 8 years now. I deeply enjoy caring for new borns. My current job gives me the joy & privilege of caring for ages 6 weeks up to 7 year olds. I am a Summer Camp Director of a local program for ages 5-12 years old. I am up to date on CPR and first aid. I am also Life Scanned through the DOJ as a certified child care provider. I pride myself in the excellence of my nurturing skills with children of all ages who naturally love me, as much as I adore children. I would describe myself as patient and empathetic, adaptable, creative and I have experience with gentle parenting techniques. Safe driver, clean driving record, and I am always able to work as a team with parents. I am very familiar with developmental levels of children and desire to help them learn appropriate skills as they grow. I am a teacher as much as I am a caregiver. I am 46 years old, a wife and a happy mother to one child. My 6 year old daughter, my husband and I live in Placerville. I currently homeschool my daughter through Cottonwood Public Charter. I work in Folsom 4 days a week AM schedule only, leaving me available afternoons & some evenings. On Mondays I do not work at all and have open availability.
