Hi my name is Sue and I have a lot of experience with all ages from newborn through high school. I also ran a California state licensed childcare out of my home for 2 years. The license was for 4 infants and 8 toddlers with a pilot program that allowed for 2 additional school aged kids in the afternoon. I have taught preschool at a private Christian church. I have taught both private and public schools for grades 2 and 3. I home schooled my own son from preschool through high school. I'd describe my personality as patient, loving, and kind. I like working with kids because there are so many "firsts," and it makes their world seem so magical!!! I'm looking for a job that allows me to make a difference in the lives of a family. I especially love the ages of newborns through 5 years old. I Read more started working with kids when I was 10 years old. I love to stay active, so in my spare time, I like to shoot hoops, practice yoga, go to the batting cages, walk on my treadmill, go horseback riding, etc. One thing you should know about me is that I treat all children as if they were my own. My skills include teaching age appropriate material, to each child on an individualized basis. They are like little sponges........so we work on ABC's and 123's, reading, spelling, writing, and lots of art. No worries if you are not interested in these activities. You can let me know what is acceptable for your child.
