I reside in East Contra Costa County with my family. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with a minor in philosophy. I am working on an online Masters of Science in Health Sciences and am pursuing occupational therapy school. I enjoy working with children and have worked with kids in a variety of settings such as summer camps, after school programs, and in clinical settings. Prior to the pandemic, I worked at an after school program as an assistant teacher. My jobs duties included the following- -Delivered personalized educational, behavioral and emotional support to individual students to enable positive learning outcomes. -Promoted physical, mental and social development by implementing classroom games and outdoor recreational activities. -Supported student learning objectives through personalized and small group assistance. -Used behavior modeling and specialized teaching techniques to share and reinforce social skills. -Organized classroom materials to help teachers prepare for daily Read more instruction and activities. -Kept classrooms clean, neat and properly sanitized for student health and classroom efficiency. -Attended bi-weekly meetings to plan a monthly curriculum. I currently work at a pediatric occupational therapy clinic, but will no longer be there in July. My job duties include- -Assists pediatric occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists, and feeding therapists with patient flow in and out of the clinic -Assists with therapeutic exercises and activity set up and breakdown -Organizes materials to help therapists prepare for instruction and activities -Performs office tasks including copying, laminating, filing, answering phones and scheduling -Prepares arts and craft activities to improve and promote fine motor skills
