I have loved children and taking care of them since I was very young, making sure to provide both a safe and fun environment at all times. The mind and life of a child - their creativity, ideas, quirks, interests, friendships and much more - are things that I believe must be nurtured above all else. Being able to provide an environment for this is something I care about tremendously. I have never been timid when it comes to interacting with children; I have always been able to understand their reactions to situations - whether they use words or not - and care immensely about helping them understand their own emotions, prioritizing creating a safe space for them above all else. I began working with kids, primarily 6mo - 4 year olds, when I was 12 and help at a daycare over the summer. I continued to help at this Read more daycare over the summer for two years. I have been a CIT at an art camp at the Studio One Art Center in Oakland and I have babysat for many family friends. I currently work at Children's Fairyland, a kid's park located in Oakland, where I have worked seasonally since I was 18. Taking care of children is the most fulfilling thing I have ever done and I intend to work with children for my entire life.
