Hi! My name is Emily and I am an upcoming third year at UCSB majoring in environmental studies BA. I have been babysitting since as early as 12 years old, and have experience with children from 11 months to 11 years old. Before starting college, I had been a volunteer teacher assistant at DucksNest Preschool for much of my junior year, and a lead peer tutor all four years of high school. I cannot express the joy babysitting brings me and with it, the opportunity to provide them with the companionship, excitement, and support every child needs during their childhood. I realized taking care of kids is a passion of mine as early as elementary school when I was assigned to be a reading buddy to the kindergarteners. The ability to have a positive influence on children, to watch them grow, and to build a relationship that they will look Read more back on and smile at are all reasons why I babysit. Now that I am familiar with the college scene I am thrilled to get back to doing what I love! Not only do I wish to be a babysitter to your kid(s), but I also hope to become a role model, friend, teacher, mermaid, black belt in karate, master painter, and whatever else I can be for them:) I am absolutely thrilled to watch your kids so please, don't hesitate to reach out!
