Hello there! My name is Chelsea and I am a 19 year old college student. I am currently in the process of completing my prerequisites to get into nursing school. I am hoping to go to Samuel Merritt or another great school to get my Bachelors and Masters in Nursing and become a Nurse Practitioner. I have a very strong passion for working with youth/kids and hope to be able to use my nursing degree to do so. However, I also quite enjoy taking care of kids outside of the health/wellness realm. Some experience I have: -- Destiny Church - I took care of a group of five kids ages 2-12 while their parents were in church. We would play, have snack time, play outside, etc. -- Lowell HS Youth Outreach Worker - In HS, I worked for my schools wellness center to help mentor my peers and younger kids Read more on how to practice health and wellness. -- Youth Center - I was a staff member at a youth center in San Francisco (ages 12-20) where we ran community building groups for youth to get together. We did outdoor activities (hiking, going to parks), arts and crafts, as well as fun outings like ice skating, bowling, etc. -- Celiac Camp - Last summer I was a counselor at a sleep away camp for kids with Celiac disease. I took care of a cabin of 8th grade girls and also watched over other age groups during the rec hours. -- I have also done some babysitting in smaller groups of 2-3 kids for families here and there for date nights, special events, etc. I love being outdoors, doing arts & crafts and I love to read and write. I feel that I am a very mature and outgoing college student and I hope to be a good fit for your family!
