One area that I have excelled in is collaboration with students and creating work ethic in the classroom. A way I have implemented acceptance and courage in the past is having my ballet folklorico students work in groups. I realized that students who work together are able to bounce ideas off each other improve their social skills. When we establish in the classroom that we are all vulnerable, meaning we will all make mistakes, we can then proceed to shed our burden of failure or embarrassment and accept that we all equal. Also, students who are introverted can excel in group work by working in the background while extroverts can be presenters. This helps student engage with peers that are unlike them which is a life lesson that needs to be taught at all levels. Together we can work better than individually. As a future teacher, I think it is Read more also important for us collaborate with our colleagues and students’ parents. We are all working together to provide the best education for our students. If we want our students working together, then we must show them that it can be done at a higher level.
