I hope you're having a great day so far! My name is Tia and I'm going into my 3rd year at the University of San Francisco as a nursing major. I'm a people person, and currently hold 2 executive board/leadership positions at 2 major organizations in my university! A little bit about me: I love spending time with family and friends, reading, being outdoors, and traveling. And I love working with kids! With 8 younger cousins myself, I know the young ones can be a lot, but I find that they bring me joy and energy. When I'm back at school I work as a part time caregiver. As a caregiver I assist my patient with ADL’s (activities of daily living) such as feeding, administering meds, walking, grooming, etc. Whilst being in nursing school, I have hours of clinical experience on me in the Med-Surg unit as well as a Read more long term care facility. I'm CPR certified and up to date with all health requirements (as I need to be in order to participate in clinical rotations at hospitals)! Over the pandemic I've tutored students K-8th as a public speaking tutor, and I volunteer at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View. My experience in various healthcare settings translate into skills that make me a well rounded individual who is passionate about caring for others. More specifically, I'm passionate about working with kids! In the future as a registered nurse, I want to work in the labor/delivery unit or pediatrics! I can ensure that with my nursing background, I can provide a safe and simultaneously fun environment for the kiddos.
