I lost my baby boy a year ago in the hospital and he was only 12 days old. I started caregiving before I was pregnant. I went to school for Medical Assistant in 2016 and graduated in 2017. I am also currently finishing my bachelors degree in Psychology. After the lost of my child I started caregiving with children because my family members had a hard time working and finding someone to watch their kids. They were skeptical at first because the lost was so fresh and they didn’t know how I would react. But after giving me chance and seeing how the kids would ask if they were coming to my house the next day intriguingly. They pretty much had no choice but to ask me because my little cousins would always ask for me. It personally brings me joy because I’m getting so much love from them but Read more they are also helping me out of a depression. So to me it works both ways because I’m giving back to others what I wanted to give to my own child and also receiving from other’s what I wanted all along. Creating a relationship with the parents and child(ren) is important to me because I’m entering your life for a reason through this season of help. Making sure we have a respectful relationship is always important to me.
