Hello! My name is Barbara and I'm a recent college graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. For the past year, I have been working as a Behavioral Therapist for kids aged 1-11 that have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Working in this field has strengthened my listening skills, increased my patience, and taught me how to think on my toes. As is true for everyone, no two days are alike when it comes to working with kids and because of this, it is important to remain open-minded and compassionate with them. I chose this line of work initially because I eventually want to get my Master's in School Psychology, but I've quickly learned how rewarding this work can be and how much one can learn from their kids.
