To be fair, Brandi was great with my kids and I am sad to see her go because I think my son liked her. That being said, she was very unreliable. For her initial training she called to say she would be late since her brother-in-laws kitchen caught on fire and she had to pick up her nephew. OK, fine. About 2 weeks into her job with us she sent me a text at 7am saying she had been up with a fever and couldn't make it that morning at 8am. Ok, I appreciate her not coming and making my kids sick. Then she sent me a text on a Monday asking if she could bring her son to babysit the following day. I said I perfer not. The next day she sent me a text at 10am saying she couldn't make it that day at noon because she forgot she had to take her mother in law to the doctor. No apology, just said she couldn't make it. OK. Then two days later she texted me while I was at work and said she wasn't feeling well. I had to leave work early. Since she had only been with us for about 6 weeks, I sent her an email and asked if she was fully committed to this job and that I need someone I can rely on to show up to work. She basically said that her family/health came first and she didn't think we were a good fit. I told her that of course family/health comes first I just wanted to make sure she wanted the job. She doesn't and now has left me with 2.5 days to find a new sitter. Great with the kiddos, when she shows up. :(
