Fabulous, Talented, and Hard-Working Multilingual Nanny/Teacher: Laure was our nanny and teacher for our four-year-old for two months. We cannot say enough good things about Laure. Not only was she a gifted instructor for multiple age groups, she is fluent in three languages (French, Spanish, and English) and able to adapt lessons to any age and in any language and make them engaging and fun. Since the first day with Laure, my four-year-old daughter expanded her baseline knowledge of French and learned how to recite and write the alphabet, numbers, simple math, days of the week, seasons, shapes - all in two months! She also led physical activities and active play – all exclusively in French. Every day, she would send a detailed progress report on what activities she used, what my daughter learned, and her progress on each activity. Laure was even able to incorporate our newborn into lessons with our 4-year-old and effectively juggled both of them at the same time. She is warm, loving, engaging, patient and extremely responsible. Her activities with our newborn included singing, playing appropriate age-related games, reading, preparing bottle, going for walks, changing diapers/clothes, and putting her to sleep. Laure is also extremely flexible and ready/willing to help around the house with light cleaning and cooking (which she has made into a fun activity for our 4-year-old). Her easygoing/adaptable demeanor stems from teaching all over the world and her educational background in teaching and Spanish History. She has worked with children of all age groups and even children with special needs. She has her own transportation and clean driving record. In the time of COVID, Laure adheres to strict precautions and was very responsive to our concerns and needs when having a newborn and grandparents nearby. She easily adapted to our hours/routine based on anything we needed that day and has been extremely responsive to directions and suggestions. We give Laure the highest recommendation and would love to stay in California just to have her with us! Unfortunately, we are moving back overseas and want her to find a great family that would benefit from her multiple talents and strong work ethic.
