ABOUT ME: Hello! my name is Eileen Cruz and I am currently a full time student at California State University San Marcos with a major in liberal studies. I am available on certain times on Monday Wednesday Fridays and available all day on the weekends. EXPERIENCE: I currently work for Autism Spectrum Therapies as a behavioral technician. I help kids with autism by working on specific goals, monitor behavior, reduce behaviors, record data on progress and provide fun activities everyday for my clients. I have tutored for a high school student who is in the foster care system who had ADHD and PTSD. During tutoring I made sure that the student completed all of her assignments and made up any missing assignments. I kept track of the upcoming assignments and tests. I helped her stay organized with her work and helped her keep reminders for herself. I have helped a Read more third grade charter school student enhance their reading and writing skills, in a private non-classroom setting. Improved his reading skills by having him read out loud and repeat any mispronounced words to me for 30 minutes a day. After each reading I would quiz him on the material he had just read. Improved his writing skills by reviewing his vocabulary terms and have him rewrite the words three times a day. Also tried to make it fun by making games out of the flashcards. I have also taken care of two girl, one in first grade and the other in preschool. I would help the first grader with her homework and the preschooler with fun learning workbooks. I would also make food for them and have them help with the little things, and would also take them out for walks to the park.
