I have over 10 years of experience in childcare, including more than 5 years as a Montessori assistant teacher. After recently relocating to California, I’m currently babysitting while perusing my goal to become a children’s occupational therapist. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children ranging from infants to 3rd grade, and as a sitter, I’ve cared for children of all ages. I believe in creating a safe, loving environment with clear boundaries, while honoring each child as a unique individual. My goal is to foster independence and self-love in every child, as I find great joy in helping them build confidence and a strong sense of self. With a fun-loving, patient, and energetic approach, I encourage creativity and imagination, often drawing on my background in theatre to inspire compassion and playfulness. I bring a "Mary Poppins" bag to each session, filled with age-appropriate books, crafts, and activities to keep your child engaged and entertained. Elizabeth was fantastic! She sat for our 15 mo old who was a bit under the weather. She hung with her all morning, managing a nap, lunch and lots and lots reading. We'd love to her back!
