I've been pursuing a career in education since I graduated high school. Throughout my college career, I've worked as a reading/writing tutor for students of all ages, I've been the caretaker of children ages 1-4, and have worked in classroom settings with children ages 4-17. I have a Bachelor's degree in English Education and have worked as a 6th-8th grade English teacher and have taught American Sign Language as well(I'm also fluent in Spanish!). I've learned very quickly that being a teacher is not simply assigning work and grading papers; being a teacher means being the caregiver of that child, the one they turn to for help, the one they trust to help them make good decisions. I knew pretty early in life that I was going to dedicate myself to working with children. I am extremely patient, supportive, positive, and enthusiastic. If I can motivate a room full 13-year-old Read more rebellious teens to strive for greatness, I can motivate anyone! Working with children is truly a privilege and an honor for me and I'll help in any way I can!
