I have a big, beautiful family with 8 nieces and nephews. I have had the honor of watching them grow up and have always been a reliable babysitter for my siblings. My junior year in high school, I worked in a classroom for first graders where I helped tutor the children one on one, keep the classroom clean, created fun group activities that also promoted learning and interacted with the kids in a positive, kind manner. I also was a nanny for an 8 year old girl for about 1 year. I watched her from about 7am to 6pm everyday. I helped her with her chores, homework and I cooked for her. The summer after graduating from high school, I worked at a summer camp for kids in Santa Cruz as a lifeguard and caterer. In addition to providing food and keeping the kids safe at the pool, I helped Read more create fun activities for the kids and interacted with them daily. I was a nanny for 3 young foster children (ages 7, 4 and 2). We filled our days with exploring nature, learning our colors and letters while the foster mom was working in the garage. I helped them learn how to adjust to a healthy environment. I loved this experience because I was able to help them build trust, learn how to communicate and adjust to living in a safe home. I am currently a Sophomore at Sierra College. I took a break due to COVID, I am majoring in Liberal Studies and I plan on becoming an Elementary School teacher. I am very friendly and I try to make things fun for the kids. I was a swim instructor and lifeguard for about 4 years. I have taught swim lessons to kids from the ages of 8 months to 14 years old. I was trained to work with special needs kids and have successfully helped them overcome their fears of swimming and become independent swimmers. I am CPR, AED and First Aid certified. My availability is pretty open at the moment. I am willing to help with homework, prepare meals, clean and I can provide transportation. I am very reliable, trustworthy, positive, good with communication, dedicated and fun to work with.
