I absolutely love kids and here's why! Even though it is up to us adults to teach the younger generations, I find that each child has something to teach us too. Kids know how to have fun, be creative, and they always manage to give the best advice without even knowing it. I just finished my first year of nursing school at PLNU in San Diego, have both CPR and BLS certifications, and basic first aid knowledge. I have volunteered at after-school programs in San Diego and at PLNUs preschool within the last year. Each year in high school, as part of the cheerleading team, we held summer camps and after school practices for elementary kids to learn more about cheerleading. Through these opportunities, I obtained a better understanding of the developmental stages of children and how to properly communicate and guide them through daily tasks and conflicts.
