I’m a 47 year old mom, wife, and home owner in Fair Oaks. I have an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts. My past experience includes working as an Instructional Assistant at Mariemont Elementary School, Nanny and Girl Scout Leader. I currently work part time (9am-1pm) in an administrative position for a local Governmental Agency. Community service is a major component in my life. In July, my family finished raising/training our fourth and final service dog for Guide Dogs for the Blind. (Note: I am fully vaccinated and CPR Certified.) In 2002, after the birth of our second daughter, I was very fortunate to have the opportunity to resign from my position and concentrate on our family for six years. I loved experiencing and watching our daughters grow and watch their personalities develop. I enjoyed my busy days that were filled with feedings, naps, playing, and early education so that my Read more girls were well prepared for preschool/elementary school. Having experienced both sides of motherhood, I understand how challenging it is to try to fit so many tasks into an already busy day (homework, grocery shopping, sports, dance, and Scouts). I’m proud to say that my husband and I have raised two amazing daughters. Our eldest graduated Sac State and is now living on her own. Our youngest daughter is still at home—she works part-time and while attending American River College. While our girls still need me for some of life’s events—generally, they are very self sufficient. I’ve decided to look I into part-time babysitting/helping families with their children for a few reasons: 1) One of my favorite roles in life is being an “Auntie” (second to being a “Mom”). I'd take care of your child(ren) as though they were one of my own family members. 2) I remember how challenging it was to manage life with 2 daughters (six years apart in age) when my husband was working a 48 hour shift as a firefighter. 3) I remember how challenging it was to trust someone with your little ones—so that you can “take some for yourself” (whether that be getting a mani/pedi or going shopping without little ones in tote) or for a much needed "date night" (not everyone has family who can/wants to babysit). 4) Most of all, I miss taking care of little ones. Thank you for taking the time to read my bio. Best wishes to finding a caregiver for your family. **Note: I can provide you with a pdf copy of my background check.
