Hi, my name is Sophie and I am 23 years old. I recently moved back to the Modesto and Oakdale area to travel with my husband, so I am looking for occasional work in between our few travels. I have been a preschool teacher for the past 4 years, working with students between the ages of 2.5 to 5. Previously I worked as a tutor and after school program leader for 3 years. I have babysat a former student for the last 2 years and also have experience babysitting from high school. I absolutely love working with children, and am already missing the joy of seeing young kids every day after 2 months of not working. I bring high energy and positivity into work with kids and love to have fun, be silly and creative, and just be a kid with them. It is important for me to build a Read more strong trusting relationship, where kids know I am there to keep them safe but also have fun. I love to read and have built quite a collection of children's books that I love to bring to the houses of kids I babysit also. I also love to bake and want to own my own bakery, and I love introducing baking and cooking with kids too! I mostly do it in a classroom setting but if parents are comfortable with me baking and cooking with their kids in the home, then I love to do that also. I am first aid and CPR certified. I am comfortable around pets, and absolutely love rabbits, which I know is not a common pet most people have. I am also open to housekeeping and general cleaning if needed.
