For the past 11 years, I’ve had the privilege of working as a teacher’s aide at a school for deaf and hard-of-hearing children. I’ve worked with kids ranging from 5 months to 8 years old, although, most of my time has been spent working with children under 4 years. Additionally, I have experience supporting children with autism spectrum disorder, CHARGE Syndrome, and Down Syndrome. I believe in listening to, acknowledging, and acting on children’s ideas—even if they seem a little silly—because great minds and confidence develop at a young age. It’s been such a rewarding experience getting to help these amazing kids grow and thrive!
