I have 6 years of experience working in a very close knit special education classroom, and small middle school. In addition to working as a para educator I created an after school board game club that quickly grew into an amazing gathering place for kids that needed somewhere to go after school. Through this work I also have come to know a young boy who I worked with as first his personal care assistant, then as a student in our class, and now as a lifelong friend! I find it natural to work with kids, as they must see me as one of them all grown up!
