Coming from a large family with an endless number of little cousins, I have developed a deep love for caretaking and looking after them. This early exposure ignited my passion for working with children, which I further explored through various volunteer opportunities during high school and college. I volunteered at my hometown alma mater, San Carlos Catholic School, which serves grades Pre-K through 8th. I find immense joy in entertaining and teaching kids, seeing their eyes light up with understanding and excitement. My interactions with these children have been incredibly fulfilling, allowing me to foster their growth and development while simultaneously learning from them. I love the energy, curiosity, and honesty that children bring, and I am committed to creating a positive and nurturing environment for them to thrive in. Since I was 16, I have been a dedicated babysitter for my family, watching over my little cousins while my Read more aunts and uncles were out for date nights, at work, or handling other responsibilities. My duties included preparing meals, entertaining the children, supervising them, and assisting with their online schooling. Additionally, my volunteer work at San Carlos Catholic School provided me with hands-on experience in a classroom setting, where I helped organize activities, tutored students, and supported teachers in managing their classrooms. This blend of personal and volunteer experience has equipped me with a strong foundation in childcare, enabling me to handle various situations with patience and creativity. Throughout high school, I was actively involved in student government, serving as student body president, and played leadership roles in both field hockey and soccer as team captain. I also participated in various clubs and volunteer activities, demonstrating my ability to balance multiple responsibilities while leading and inspiring others. In college, I continued to build on this foundation, where I currently serve as a recruitment director and a member of the membership development committee. Academically, I am majoring in Psychology with an emphasis on pre-occupational therapy, aiming to become a pediatric occupational therapist. This academic focus, coupled with my leadership experiences, demonstrates my dedication to understanding and supporting children's development. My unique blend of hands-on experience, leadership skills, and specialized academic training sets me apart!
