Hi there! I am Chloe Orozco Myers and I am entering my third year at UC Davis where I am studying Community & Regional Development. Despite my passion for the environment, affordable housing, and equal access to services - I am also minoring in education, and I absolutely love spending time with children. Education is a powerful tool for unlocking so many aspects of life - from learning new skills to learning more about yourself to understanding the world and its people. Thus, I would love to not only be a babysitter, but also be a role model for your child/children, showing them that they are capable of so much and helping them to find their own passions/interests. My last point is that even though I have two years of paid experience from high school where I babysat for family members and family friends, this summer I wanted to do Read more something that was a little more exciting/eye-opening. In Davis, I worked at the UC Davis Youth Programs summer camp and taught ceramics to 8-10-year-olds. In this situation, I was able to practice having fun while maintaining responsibility and patience at the same time. Their pride was evident when they created something themselves and were able to take it home. Additionally, I received my CPR/First Aid certification through this program. Having these experiences as well as having my own little brother who is 10 years younger than me gave me the opportunity to recognize the positive effect that young adults and role models can have on children. Growing up, I participated in the Big Brother Big Sister program, and having a mentor who already had some of their life figured out gave me a unique perspective on my own goals and expectations. It would be a pleasure to work with a family who also sees some similarities to what I listed above, and if you are looking for/in need of care please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I prefer text messages, however, if you would rather speak with me or send me an email, please do so. Let's talk soon! phone: 7605752502 email: chloemyers090@gmail.com
