Hi, my name is Italy Overton. I'm currently a college student at Sacramento State University I am in my junior year my major is in communication sciences and disorders. I have an associate's degree in sociology from Sierra College. I kind of stumbled upon caregiving I originally worked in food service for a few years and then I transitioned to working with kids with disabilities and a junior high school. Through my job working at the high school, I had the opportunity to find out about a different job opportunity working with adults with disabilities and became an In-home caregiver. I really enjoyed being able to do that work and be there for the people who needed me and that's what I really like about caregiving being able to form those connections. Unfortunately, I had to stop working at the job when I returned to school full-time. This summer, I Read more am looking for a job that I can do to save up some money for school. I have had personal experience working with infants, and animals. I also have formal experience working with elementary school-age children and middle school.
