Hello, my name is Kate and I am 26 years old. I was born and raised in Oregon, but recently moved to Claremont to be a part of my partner’s grad school adventure! I am bilingual in Cantonese and English. I am currently majoring in child psychology and minoring in child, family, and youth studies at PSU. I’ve been volunteering and working with children in clinics, daycare, and school settings for about 8 years now. I was recently an infant/toddler teacher for 2 years and worked with children on the spectrum for a little over 2 years before that. If I were to describe myself, I would say that I am a bubbly, confident, and fast learning person. I pick up on new routines and am flexible to new changes. What I love most about working with children is being able to see the confidence in them grow as they Read more learn new developmental skills or activities and when they start finding their personalities to express themselves! I am also CPR certified for infants and adults.
