I was a live-in nanny for 1 year in 2001-2002. After that I worked for CCSD (on-call) for 2 years, as a teachers assistant, at multiple schools. Before becoming a full time, live-in nanny, I had been a sitter for many families, for 10 years, as I started when I was 12 and continued on even after I had my own children. All the kids requested me to their parents and one even asked the parents to “go on a date because they like having me as their sitter because I’m fun and I don’t ignore them.” If I had to claim a profession, I would say childcare is my profession. When I was growing up, adults would always tell me I’m going to be a good mom and when I became a mom, people would tell me they notice how patient I am and how natural parenting is for Read more me. I took childcare and child psychology in high school. I believe in the importance of safety, structure, building confidence, having fun and helping guide the youth into becoming supportive, positive, strong, caring, helpful and successful adults, that can look back on their childhood and say, yes, I had people in my life that cared about me and encouraged me and took the time to show me how to navigate through a busy life and make a little more sense out of things during confusing times. I’m currently available for infant/childcare and light housekeeping, but not as a live-in. My CPR/FirstAid is current. I will give references and a background check, upon an interview, as my own personal safety policy. Thank you
