Hello! My name is Alexa. I’m a first year student at CSU Channel Islands, studying liberal studies to become an elementary school teacher. I often took care of my 2 younger sisters while my parents were off at work, and can unfortunately admit that it was the hardest gig of all gigs. There was nothing more intense than an 8 year old and a 15 year old in the same house! With that being said, I can easily say that I have a highly developed sense of patience as well as responsibility. I know many great ways to keep kids occupied and in a calm manner, or even help with schoolwork and studying (I do best helping with homework for elementary and middle school ages.) I am fond of crafts and coloring books, as well as playing games like Mario Kart and card games like Uno. I am also a Read more fan of being laid-back and having a good time being calm and relaxed. I am most confident in my problem-solving skills, leadership, and ability to multitask in many different situations. My current form of employment is as a barista at Starbucks, since September of 2020. This highlights my punctuality, communication skills, and reliability. As part of my job as a barista, I am also California food handler certified, so I can be trusted with food prep or cooking, as well as cleanliness. One of my best skills is communication. I am always open to however many different levels of communication you or your child(children) may need. As of now (April 2022), I am looking to babysit as soon as my current semester is over (end of May 2022) and during the summer.
