Hi! I've been caring for kids for a long time now. I'm the youngest of a large family, and became an aunt when I was 6 years old. I was the in-house babysitter for my nieces and nephews for many years, caring for them as newborns, toddlers, and young kids. I babysat for families in the neighborhood for almost 10 years, growing my clientele solely by word of mouth, as the parents who I babysat for recommended me to their friends and family. I cared for children in a formal setting as well, as a day camp counselor for a group of 20 6-year-olds for four summers. While I take the health and safety of the children in my care very seriously, I enjoy encouraging kids to explore their interests and helping them as requested. In the past I've introduced new crafts, built pillow forts, read books, and played games Read more with children who enjoyed these activities. Based on needs and schedules, I can help with homework, meals, and bedtime routines, keeping it relaxed so parents come home to a calm household.
