My name is Susan, and I have taken care of children, most of my life. I list my experience at the end. I would like to care for children from one family only in my own home. If you need someone to care for your children and you do not mind bringing them to me and picking them up, I can give them a good environment to learn and enjoy their time away from you. We have lots of legos, a piano, drawing and art materials, a microscope, lots of books, a big telescope for night time, and a big yard to play in. I can provide meals for the children I care for, or you can bring their meals, whichever you prefer. It is very important to me to require children to keep reasonable rules and to have consequences, approved of by the parent, if they do not keep Read more the rules. I feel able to care for children who are currently misbehaved or have some kind of mental or physical disability. I am not seeking to care for children in someone else's home. I am available to care for your children in my home, in the downtown West Chester area of Bakersfield, very close to Franklin Elementary School. I am available around the clock, every day. I do go to church on Saturday evenings at 5pm, but it is possible for me to bring your children with me, if you need a babysitter on Saturday evening. Everything else that I do, I can work around your schedule. My Experience: 1982-1987: babysat for many families during my teens. 1988-1989: was a nanny for identical twin girls, from five months to fourteen months old. 1989: married my husband, a father of four. Together we raised/home-schooled eight more children (including a baby with Trisomy 18, who died at one year of age). The last child is the only minor child left. She is sixteen and very decent toward children and people in general. 1990-present: I do the industrial sewing for my husband's business. Mid 2022-present: I teach 10-17 year olds at the church I attend. The younger children are just in the next room, so I could check on your children or possibly keep them with me if necessary. I am certified in infant, child, and adult CPR and First Aid and Water safety. My background checks have expired, but I am happy to get them again if anyone is interested in considering having me care for their children. Thank you for considering me and God Bless you.
