Hello Perspective Families! My name is Nicole Bendana, I am a 24 year old college student pursuing a bachelor's degree in sociology. Being an older sister of 3, I’ve always been protective and strived to be a positive and moral role model. I am very light hearted and am always looking to create joyful moments in my life. My current hobbies are painting, skateboarding, scenic walks, and photography. Living in the same neighborhood as my aunts and uncles, I had grown up to be the family babysitter. Learning how to look after and care for my younger family members came as a second nature. At 16, I received the opportunity to nanny professionally for a high profile family. It seemed terrifying at first but was a wonderful experience that opened my eyes to my interest in child-care. In those 8 years, I’ve managed to expand my knowledge and gain experience in different child-care professions. I had previously been a program assistant for an after school teen program which taught me how to build my skills as a mentor, tutor, and facilitating behavioral interventions. I had also worked as a behavioral specialist, providing therapy for kids and young adults on the autism spectrum. Through this profession I learned applied behavioral analysis therapy techniques and built skills in social skills development, crisis prevention and intervention training, as well as cognitive skills development. I have not paid to run a background check through sitter city but I do have a recent background check from September 2021 ran through another company. I would be more than happy to send upon request. I have never participated in criminal activity and have no criminal background and a squeaky clean driving record. I have been CRP and First Aid trained and certified since the age of 15. I am fully vaccinated from covid-19. I am very grateful for each family I have worked for and the wonderful memories I’ve been able to create along the way.
