We are an Altadena based family with a 21 month old hoping to find 1 more baby or toddler to start sharing care with. We were previously sharing a nanny with 2 other families whose children are starting pre-school. Our nanny has been with us since our child was 4 months old. She has over 15 years of experience with young children, working both in private care and educational settings. Her 18 year old daughter often accompanies her and assists with care. She's developed strategies for emotional regulation, socialization and sharing, potty trained our son at 20 months, soothes child-parent separation anxiety, takes them on long walks, encourages exploration in nature, works on arts and crafts with them, plays & sings music, reads, and encourages imaginative play/storytelling. She maintains healthy relationships based on trust and open communication between multiple families, balances different schedules, and meets the differing needs and styles Read more of parenting. She routinely brings the children to gardens, playgrounds and museums. If you're interested, please let us know your child or children's ages, the number of days a week you can commit to and if you have the ability to host in your home. Depending on the number of children and days we are able to plan for we anticipate the hourly care to cost about $12 per child.
