Hi there! My name is Suomo (soo oh mo). I am a 34 years old artist and I have my masters in social work. I moved to Tucson from Burlington, Vermont with my partner and pups a little over a year ago and absolutely love it here! I was born and raised in Western, Central and Southern Africa and had the great privilege of traveling all over the world growing up. Because of this, I bring my culturally sensitive prospective to everything that I do. I am intuitive, nurturing, patient, kind and empathetic. I love to paint and do crafts, dance, swim, and hike. I am an excellent cook and can make delicious allergy-friendly foods, and I keep a tidy house. I have experience working with kiddos in a variety of settings and in various roles such as Zumba kids instructor, case manager and advocate, babysitter, health educator, and even Read more face painter. I am a certified carseat safety technician, I can drive, and have a car. A few years ago, I left my work in therapy in order to chase my dreams of becoming a full-time artist. Nannying is the perfect opportunity to work with flexibility in my schedule while still being able to pursue painting. With all the hate and ugly in the world right now, kids give me hope. It is an incredible responsibility to care for, nurture and grow the minds and spirits of our future generation, and I don't take that lightly.
