Since my mid-teenage years, I have spent countless evenings, weekends, and other various hours in between helping those in my life with their children. I have an extensive range of experiences in providing care for children of all ages - not only as a babysitter but with some years as a nanny as well. Through these experiences, I became knowledgeable in how to positively, tenderly, and passionately provide care for children in infancy all the way into early adolescence. My profession for the last almost 5.5 years has been focused on young children - providing care, education, guidance, and love - as a preschool teacher. Additionally, I believe it is important for parents to be given a sense of ease upon returning home to their children and babysitter. When I first started babysitting nearly 13 years ago, I was taught that respect and little considerations for the entire family goes Read more a long way. Due to such, I set myself to a high standard in meeting such as a babysitter and, as much as possible, complete minor household tasks, if possible - whether that be sweeping the floor, tidying up the spaces (kitchen, dining room, living room, etc), do the dishes that are used and others, if dirty - ultimately completing seemingly “minor” tasks that the parents no longer have to worry about for that evening. This has always been something generally unnecessary, unless mentioned in the “job description” specifically, that I do, which ultimately the parents are truly appreciative for.
