Hello! I am in-between jobs, working only on a volunteer basis at the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Southern Arizona (NAMI) and at a local hospice, Gentiva Hospice. Though these are passions of mine and I devote much time to teaching and mentoring others about mental illnesses, children are also a passion of mine, as I am unable to have kids of my own. I am 42 years old, and as a mature babysitter, I have the ability to monitor your most precious child while you are away. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old, and I've loved (almost) every job! Working and caring for children brings me so much joy, it's almost like not working. I currently babysit for two families. One family has two young boys, aged seven and nine, and they are both non-verbal children diagnosed with autism. I have been babysitting them Read more for almost four wonderful years. The other child is three, and he is a healthy and happy young lad! This child I've had the pleasure of babysitting for for about two years. I've babysat children from all walks of life. I don't discriminate. Rich, poor, Asian, Caucasian, each is a beautiful child of god and I treat them as such. Educationally speaking, along with graduating high school early and with honors, I graduated Pima Community College with my Associate's of Arts with high honors. Continuing my education, I recently earned my RSS (peer support specialist) certification to work with the mentally ill, and with this came a plethora of tests, all of which I've passed. I have a clear background, with one recent traffic infraction. So minor was this that I am still holding a Level One fingerprint clearance card, I'm First Aid and CPR certified, and I'm always looking out for your child's safety first. I've been cleared for TB, am up-to-date on vaccinations and have a signed and notarized affidavit that I've never harmed a child (in any manner!). Be it for one date night a year, a last-minute idea, or be it because you have regular functions outside of home to attend, I would love to have the chance to introduce myself to you and your family. I'm solid, reliable, almost always early and I get along with most everyone and their grandmother! :) I hope that you choose me to babysit for you; you would be making not only a safe and wise choice, but an experience your child is unlikely to forget for a good while to come! Thank you! Additional references (professional & personal) if needed, please ask!
