Hello! My name is Emma, I'm a fully-vaccinated pediatric nursing student at ASU, and I love to babysit/nanny in my free-time! I have always loved being around children, so when my two little brothers were born and I became their unofficial primary caretaker, I realized how beautiful of a world children create. Everyday I read more about how to create a loving, supportive environment for children and would appreciate the opportunity to add a little more light in your child's life. I am a big advocate of positive reinforcement and proactive parenting, as well as communication over punishment when a child misbehaves. While we play and have fun, I aim to incorporate important lessons in social skills in a way that doesn't feel like learning. If your household allows screen time I will absolutely adhere to it, but not without the proper physical and mental stimulation from old-fashioned playing first Read more :) I encourage first-person communication in times of sibling conflict, so that children may learn to be more compassionate, understanding, and in tune with their needs and emotions. I have experience with children with many different backgrounds and demographics, and am more than willing to implement any religious, cultural, or other practices important to your household. Some specialized work I've done includes multi-subject tutoring of children with English as their second language, teaching special needs children how to code, and nannying for victims for abuse and neglect. At my mother's house, we owned 6 cats and 5 dogs that I took primary care of, so I would love to take care of your fur babies too! I would be more than willing to meet with you beforehand to discuss your expectations, and I look forward to working with your family in the future :) My work schedule isn't fixed, but I typically work nights on weekends. However, if we schedule before Sunday of the week you need, I will let me work know I am unavailable for that day :)
