As the "spinster auntie" of a large family, I have helped to raise eight nieces and nephews over the past two decades, and consider myself a "Professional Auntie"...my grown nieces and nephews tell me often how much our time together has helped them and enriched their lives. I spent nearly a decade as Resident Director of Operations for The Children's House at Johns Hopkins Hospital. I have worked with children on the spectrum, kids with behavioral challenges, and children with physical and medical challenges and life-threatening conditions. I am well-versed in special diets, including medically-mandated ketogenic diet for seizure disorders (a la Kennedy-Krieger Institute at Johns Hopkins Hospital), and specialize in gluten-free, whole foods plant based meal preparation. I love getting kids involved in the kitchen! I most recently worked for an after-school program at St. Thomas More Catholic School in Baton Rouge, LA as an art and STEM instructor. Read more Last summer, I was a lead counselor at KidCam summer camp in Baton Rouge, where every day included arts/crafts. music and dance, STEM, outdoor nature exploration, and physical activities components. I spent four years as a twin nanny with supplemental home-schooling and a strong focus on art, music, literature, languages and science. I also babysat for several families in the same "Twin Moms" group on a regular basis, being highly recommended by word-of-mouth within that group. I am currently helping my father in Surprise, AZ, and am anxious to find work in the area. I would love to speak with you about how I might help with your family...I am available at any time for an interview!
