Hi, My name is Chandra and I would like to take a minute to introduce myself to you. I was a nanny for over 23 years, before becoming a stay at home Mom to my beautiful daughter, and in that time I had the privilege of caring for many children ranging in age from newborn through school age; including twins, triplets, only children, and siblings, each with their own very distinct challenges and rewards. I also worked briefly in both a preschool and a day care center. I adore all of the children I have cared for, and many I still see or talk to on a regular basis. I hold a Bachelors degree from Northern Arizona University in Early Childhood Education and Child Psychology, with a minor in Child Sociology. I enjoy working with children because I love being a part of shaping the future. The genuine curiosity and Read more love of learning that children possess helps me see the world through their eyes. Helping these children become healthy, happy, bright, inquisitive, curious, creative, independent adults is a tremendous source of pride for me. I treasure all of the stages of development and the challenges and joys that come with them! My charges and I have especially enjoyed reading together. Seeing their eyes light up when you sit down with them and their favorite book, or going to the library to pick out something new, or to sit and listen to story hour, is one of the best feelings imaginable. We have also enjoyed arts and crafts, music & dancing, and just playing at the park or going for a walk! With my infants, I cherish the quiet cuddling time that I get to have with them. Rocking them to sleep and singing them a lullaby is a very peaceful and centering activity. My clients have found me to be trustworthy, reliable and have really appreciated my flexibility. My consistency, communicative nature and problem solving skills have been a useful asset in all of my nanny positions.
