Hello! My name is Kami and I adore children, seniors, and any and all pets! I worked at Easterseals Arkansas for nearly two years, where I received CPR and First Aid training. In my time at Easterseals, I worked at the Preschool and the Children's Rehabilitation Center. Easterseals is an organization for people with disabilities with the goal of assisting them in living their lives as independently as possible. At the preschool, I was to help the children with bathroom breaks and potty training, diaper changing, all meal times, naps, learning in the classroom, and creative play! In my time at the Children’s Rehabilitation Center I had a group of 5-7 kids that I was responsible for every shift. I was to bathe, change, and monitor my specific group of children throughout the day and record in their books throughout the shift. When I was not working specifically with my Read more group of kids, I was in a designated area watching a group of 10-15 children, playing with them, reading, or watching tv. During meal times i was responsible for 3-5 kids setting their place and helping them eat. I was also responsible for helping keep their rooms clean, trash empty, and I helped the older kids (teenage) with their homework. I currently work as an Orthopedic Technician at Orthoarkansas, helping with casting, splinting, dressing changes, and durable medical equipment. I interact with patients daily, doing my best to keep them comfortable and provide the best care possible in their time of need. I am currently in school, getting ready to start my journey in nursing school with a minor in psychology. I am a driven individual that loves to help others. I am energetic and happy to help in any way that I am able! I am interested in seeing what needs are out there that I could assist with, looking at part time but not opposed to full time as long as the schedule is flexible. I have been working full time and going to school full time, however with my nursing journey about to start, I do not want to take away from my education so looking more to part time!
