I decided when I was a little girl to become a caregiver when I watched my grandmother suffer from cancer and kemo treatments. I was taught to give her insulin several times a day and sit and listen to her doctors at every appointment. I’m a child with an illness myself so since I was little I told myself I’m gloing to be a nurse when I get older. I started working with children in 2015 at Nana’s Learning Center and continued there two years later because I love children I want one of my own but not at the moment. Working at Nana’s taught me a lot about children and the ability to deal with children is a privilege. You have to have patience and love to give to a child. I have a PCA now considered a PCT certificate. I am currently my mother’s caregiver. I’ve been dealing Read more with children all my life because my cousins have children and I’m the one they call on to babysit and I love it because I can send them back home if I get tired. Changing diapers, feeding, teaching, playing with a child/children is what I love to do. Period! I will pursue my education to own my own daycare someday. It’s something I actually enjoy doing. I wake up and look forward to see smiling faces on babies. I have two nieces and one nephew. They are 4, 1, and 2. I love them dearly and wouldn’t let a fly touch them. I raised the 4 year old myslef with the guidance of my mother and others who were around me.
