I quit my corporate finance job last year and moved to Arkansas to take on homestead life with my partner. I’m looking to add more color to my life by finding some great families that need a caregiver for their kiddos. I think teaching, playing with, and learning from little ones sounds way more fun and fulfilling than a job that has me staring at a screen all day. It’s also a great way to connect more with my new community! I love being outside, being active, cooking, and reading. While I’m still new to the whole homestead thing, I’ve learned a bit about gardening and livestock, so it would be cool to introduce more children to those types of skills if they have any interest. I've always prided myself on being creative when it comes to designing activities for my clients. I used to create daily scavenger hunts for Read more my younger cousins when I cared for them, and they still talk about how much fun we had! I hope to make great memories with your family, too :) I tend to jive really well with more “crunchy” families. I’m very well-versed in nutrition (lots of experience with Weston A Price principles/ancestral eating) and creating a low-tox home (I’m a huge fan of chemical and fragrance free cleaning and personal care products). I am more than happy to work out an arrangement that includes some degree of cooking, cleaning, etc. if there is downtime based on your kiddo’s schedule. My mom ran a daycare when I was little, and I’ve been babysitting as long as I can remember, so my experience is pretty broad. At the ages of 12-16, I spent summers watching all of my younger cousins from the time they were infants. I also have two young nephews that I was entrusted to care for, including overnight sits. Most recently, I supplemented my full time corporate job with weekend sits for a few families in FL (before I moved), and watched up to five children at once. I’m comfortable with kids of all ages and manage chaos quite well. Just tell me what your family needs and I can adapt to support you!
