I am the eldest of four girls and grew up taking care of everyone. Our house was considered a "safe house" for everyone, so we'd end up with friends over all the time. I would cook and care for them while my mother was deployed, and my father worked to care for us. I was also a nanny for several family friends, especially when one of the parents was deployed. It was the norm for girls to get their babysitting certificates, including their CPR card, when they turned twelve. While I do not know where my card ended up (that was so long ago!), I am still able to perform CPR and was taught enough basic medical care and triage while in the military to know when something is just a scrape and when to call 911. I have a master's in English and have taught both children and adults, Read more so I have plenty of educational training. I am reliable, honest, hardworking, and consistent. I am an excellent cook and believe that cleanliness is next to godliness. I also believe that children of all ages and genders benefit from learning how to make food, keep their space tidy, and learn all they can about this busy, fun world.
