Bonjour! My name is Emily, and I’ve done a lot of work in a variety of settings - paid and unpaid - taking care of children, such as coaching the 8 and under children at my local swim team and working in daycares like Primrose in Madison and Trinity Childcare Development Center, and doing a little bit of babysitting over the summer. Because of this, I’ve gotten to work with almost all groups of children and can care for a variety of ages. I’m enrolled as a part time student at the University of Montevallo taking online classes from Madison for a few years for financial reasons. I’m a former psychology major and a current elementary education major, so I try to apply what I know about developmental psychology to my work. I’m enthusiastic, determined, and generally quite genial. I also speak intermediate French and am studying to be an Read more English foreign language teacher, so if your children are learning French or want to learn, I’d be more than happy to teach them. I love to take a very hands-on approach with the children and get down on their level to play with them, but I also know when it’s time to take a break and the importance of keeping children hydrated while exerting themselves. Safety is always my first priority, but I don’t believe that has to take away the fun and excitement.
